You can enhance your custom courses by adding high-quality, royalty-free images from Unsplash directly within the Course Builder. Visuals help make course content more engaging and easier to understand, and the integrated image gallery allows you to quickly find and insert relevant images.
Where you can add Unsplash images
You can add Unsplash images to:
- Standard image blocks (and preloaded images in GoSkills templates)
- Image + text blocks
- Accordion blocks (great for FAQs)
- Course cover images
Add an image from Unsplash
To add an Unsplash image to your course:
- Click the + icon to add a new content block. Select Image from the block options.

- Click the image placeholder to start editing.
- In the left-hand menu, click the three dots and choose Select from Gallery.

- Use the search bar to enter a keyword or theme (e.g., "cybersecurity").

- Choose your preferred image from the Unsplash gallery.
Customize your image
After selecting an image, you can:
- Add alt text for accessibility
- Adjust the image size
- Add a caption
- Insert a link
Use Unsplash images in templates
If you're using a GoSkills template (like the Cybersecurity course template), you may find preloaded images already in place. You can easily replace these with Unsplash images using the same steps above.
Set a course cover image
You can also set an Unsplash image as the cover for your course:
- Click Edit cover and Select from gallery.

- Select an image from the Unsplash gallery to represent your course across the platform.
