The recording block lets you capture video, audio, and screen recordings directly inside your lesson—no extra tools needed. When you stop recording, a video block is automatically added to your lesson.
What you can do with the recording block
Use the recording block to:
- Record a camera intro for a lesson
- Walk through slides while you narrate
- Demonstrate software step by step (screen recording)
- Record camera + screen together for more engaging walkthroughs
Add a recording block
- Open the lesson you want to edit.
- Click Add block.
- Select Recording.
Start a recording
- Before recording, check your setup (camera, microphone, and browser permissions).
- Choose what you want to record:
- Camera
- Screen
- Camera + screen
- Click Record.
- Choose what to capture:
- Entire screen, or
- A specific window
- Click Stop when you’re finished.
A video block is added to your lesson automatically.
Tips for better recordings
- Use camera + screen for tutorials and walkthroughs.
- Close unnecessary tabs/windows before sharing your screen.
- Do a quick test recording to confirm your audio is clear.
Troubleshooting
I can’t access my camera, mic, or screen
- Check your browser permissions for camera, microphone, and screen recording.
- Reload the page after updating permissions.
